The eight parties united for the presidential election are interacting with their Provincial Assembly members from all the seven provinces on this issue today.
As part of the preparations for the presidential election to be held on March 9, the eight parties, which had oriented their members of the House of Representatives in Kathmandu on Thursday, are going to hold discussions with their members of the province assembly across the country today.
Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Poudel has become the presidential candidate on behalf of the eight parties, while UML has nominated its vice-president Subas Chandra Nembang to the post of president.
The taskforce of the eight-party alliance formed under the coordination of Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has appointed representatives to interact with the members of the Provincial Assembly in all the seven provinces.
The discussion will be led by Congress officials.
Among them, General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma in Koshi Province, Deputy General Secretsry Farmullah Mansoor in Madhesh, General Secretary Gagan Thapa in Bagmati, Deputy President Dhanraj Gurung in Gandaki, Deputy General Secretary Kishore Singh Rathore in Lumbini, Deputy President Purna Bahadur Khadka in Karnali and Deputy General Secretary Badri Pandey in Far West will coordinate the discussion.
According to NC, an interaction program has been scheduled with the members of the Provincial Assembly of Bagmati Province today at 1 pm in New Baneshwar.
