The hearing of the writ petition against CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias "Prachanda," has been scheduled for today.
The victims’ family filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking action against Prime Minister Prachanda in response to his declaration that he would accept responsibility for 5,000 of the 17,000 people murdered in the People's War.
The writ's hearing date has been set for today, however it is not yet known if the hearing will take place today.
As many as 28 individuals, including Ramechhap resident and Nepali Congress convention delegate Gyanendra Raj Aran, are in favor of the writ petition.
