The meeting of the Maoist stream party leaders held at Baluwtar has come to an end.
Following the meeting that lasted for around two hours, the Maoist leaders decided to call a press meeting after a few days, said a Maoist leader.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CP Gajurel, Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma ‘Prakanda’, Ahuti, Karnajit Budhathoki, Hemanta Prakash Oli among other leaders were in the meeting.
The two writ petitions registered in the Supreme Court on March 7 have brought the Maoist parties together.
There has been speculation among the intelligentsia whether the splinter groups who broke away from the Maoist Party are uniting again.
CPN (Maoist Center), Nepal Samajbadi Party, CPN (Revolutionary-Maoist), CPN, CPN Bahumat, Baigyanik Samajbadi Communist Party, CPN (Maoist Center Socialist), and Maoist Communist Party have announced to join hands to move together.
