The hearing of the registered case against CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has concluded in the Supreme Court.

The writ petition filed against Prachanda is being heard in the bench of Justice Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada.

Earlier, the single bench of Khatiwada had also ordered to register the said writ.

A joint bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Hari Phuyal ordered to register the writ which the Supreme Administration refused to register.

Earlier, on Thursday, the case was fixed in a single bench of Judge Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha.

However, it was not heard as a single bench was not sitting.

After that, the hearing of the case has been started for today in the court of Khatiwada.

Conflict victims Gyanendraraj Aran and Chiranjeeviwaas Giri have filed separate writ petitions against 'Prachanda'.

Based on the statement given by Prachanda in the petition, it is demanded to arrest him and take action for the crime of murder.

PM Dahal had said that he would take responsibility for 5,000 of the 17,000 people who were killed in the armed conflict on January 15, 2020.

A case has been filed against him on the same basis.
