CPN-UML secretariat meeting is being held today to decide on matters including the selection of the vice-presidential candidate on behalf of the party.
There is a program to register candidates today for the Vice President election to be held on March 17.
Before that, UML will hold a secretariat meeting to select candidates.
The meeting will be held at 9:30 in the morning at the party's central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, UML Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari informed.
UML said the meeting will discuss the selection of the vice-presidential candidate as well as contemporary politics.
On the other hand, the ruling coalition has not decided the vice presidential candidate as of yet. UML also nominated party Vice Chair Subas chandra Nemwang for the presidency.
However, he lost to the nine-party Alliance candidate Ramchandra Paudel. Paudel has become the new president of the country.
