CPN-UML Vice Chairperson Astalaxmi Shakya has registered her candidacy for the post of the Vice President.
Shakya reached the International Convention Center in New Baneshwor and filed her candidacy at the Office of the Election Officer a while ago.
A secretariat meeting held at the central party office in Cyasal, Lalitpur had decided to field Shakya as a presidential candidate.
The Election Commission (EC) has established the Office of the Election Officer at the International Convention Center in New Baneshwor.
The time for filing nominations has been set from 9 am to 2 pm today.
