Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that a socialist front will be formed in a few days for the alliance among communist parties.

Prime Minister Prachanda said so at a time when leaders of Maoist stream parties are coming together following a writ petition filed in the Supreme Court over the Maoist insurgency era case.

Prachanda, who is also the chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), said an initiation will be taken to forge an alliance among communist parties based on socialist ideology.

Addressing a gathering of party's central committee members from Madhesh Province at the central party office in Paris Danda, Prachanda said a broader alliance among the communists will be formed after creating a socialist front.

"The issues of people's war and people's movement have not yet been resolved. The peace process has not fully been concluded," said he, "It is our responsibility to give a political solution to the country based on the peace process and the principles of transitional justice. For this, unity and cooperation among the socialist forces are necessary."

He further said that discussions among the communist parties are underway for a unification.

"Be it in Eastern Europe or West Bengal or revolutions in any parts of the world, once it falls flat, it will hardly rise again," said he, "We should forge ahead by tackling the challenges through the formation of a broader alliance among the communists and open the door to socialism.

Dahal said once a socialist front is created, it will form the basis for a unity among the communist parties.
