President Bhandari makes farewell visit with top leaders

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has made a farewell visit with the top leaders of major political parties on Sunday, the last day of her presidential term.

President Bhandari met with newly-elected President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' as well as other top leaders, according to President Bhandari's Press Expert Tika Prasad Dhakal.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, President of Rastriya Swotantra Party Rabi Lamichhane, Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Rajendra Lingden, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairperson Upendra Yadav, Chairperson of Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Mahantha Thakur, Chairperson of Nagarik Unmukti Party Ranjita Shrestha, and other leaders were present.

On the occasion, President Bhandari thanked the prime ministers of different terms, political leaders and all leaders for helping her to complete her tenure.

Similarly, top leaders congratulated President Bhandari for completing her tenure successfully. 

Likewise, a program to take oath of office and secrecy by the newly-elected President has been scheduled at 1:00 pm at Sheetal Niwas on Monday.
