Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to take a vote of confidence on March 20.

Prime Minister Prachanda will take the vote of confidence after concluding the presidential elections on March 17, said Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Haribol Gajurel.

“Prime Minister will take the vote of confidence on March 20 or 21,” Gajurel told Nepalkhabar, “A discussion on the issue among the parties associated with the ruling alliance is underway.”

The discussion on taking forward a bill on Truth and Reconciliation Commission registered in the parliament is also underway.

The House meeting which is stalled now will resume as soon as Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire, who is currently in Bahrain, returns home.

The government is in minority after CPN (UML) that lent its support to it on December 25 withdrew it on February 27.

Dahal had become the prime minister with the support of 169 MPs including three independent lawmakers.

The Dahal-led government has fallen into minority after UML and RPP withdrew their support to it.
