Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has underscored the need to conclude the issue related to transitional justice through consensus and mutual understanding.
President Deuba said so while presenting the party’s official decision to give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister Prachanda at a meeting of the House of Representatives today.
“Concrete policies, plans and commitments for implementation are necessary to boost the country economically,” said Deuba, “The remaining works of peace process should be brought to a logical conclusion. A process of amending the law has been taken forward to address the issues related to transitional justice. It should be sorted out through a mutual understanding and consensus among all the parliamentarians represented in the federal parliament.”
He further said suggested that Nepal should maintain balanced and friendly relations among the neighboring countries.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is taking the vote of confidence from the House of Representatives for the second time today.
