Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has inaugurated a 20-km long highway in Gorkha on Tuesday.
While inaugurating the up-gradation work of the Panthahiti-Katahare-Harmi-Sahiltar road at Bimire in Palungtar Municipality today, Prime Minister Prachanada said that the political environment has taken up a new rhythm after receiving the vote of confidence.
“A new political environment has been created,” said Prachanda, “We are now preparing to give a full shape to the government after the 11 parties gave the vote of confidence to the government.”
He further said that preparations are underway to lead the government at the provincial level on a rotational basis.
“Preparations are underway to lead the provincial levels on a rotational basis,” said Prachanda, “I will hold a comprehensive meeting to strike coordination among the center, province and the local levels. The meeting will discuss ways to expedite the development of the country.
Prime Minister Prachanda, Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha had reached Gorkha.
Similarly, Gandaki Province Parliamentary Party leader Surendra Pandey, who was elected from Gorkha, was with Prachanda.
The budget of the project to be built in partnership with EXIM Bank of India is Rs 800 million.
Around 20-kilometer road from Panthahiti to Sahiltar would be widened and it would be blacktopped. The upgradation of the road would be completed within 30 months.
