Deputy General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Center) and former Finance Minister Barshaman Pun ‘Ananta’, who is undergoing treatment in China, had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to his secretariat, Pun spoke with Prachanda on Monday and with Deuba on Tuesday.
Leader Pun congratulated the Prime Minister for securing a vote of confidence by almost two-thirds of the members of the Parliament.
In a telephonic conversation with both the leaders, he said that the ruling alliance should move forward in order to achieve political stability, good governance, and prosperity as per the people's wishes.
"The people are not so much interested in who becomes the prime minister and the minister", Pun said, "The people who supported the political leadership to change the system want economic reform and good governance, development, employment and change in their situation."
Both the leaders said Prachanda and Deuba wished Pun a speedy recovery and return to Nepal with good health.
Miraculous improvement in Pun’s health
After suffering from hereditary hyper-bilirubinemia, a kind of jaundice, he went to China for treatment on February 13 after getting sick again.
Elected as a lawmaker from Rolpa in the November 20 elections, Pun is being treated at the Third People's Hospital in Shenzhen.
According to his family sources, Pun's health has miraculously improved. The amount of bilirubin in Pun's body is 11 to 12.
Although his health condition is miraculously improving, the family members have said that he will return to Nepal only after the doctor lowers the bilirubin level to 2 points.
The amount of bilirubin in normal people ranges from 1.5 to 8 points, according to doctors. Pun is accompanied by his wife Onsari Gharti, a former speaker.
