Four political parties including Nepali Congress have decided to give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Shalik Ram Jamkattel.
According to sources, Nepali Congress, CPN (Unified Socialist), Harmo Nepali Party and CPN (Maoist Center) have agreed to give the vote of confidence to Jamkattel.
On the other hand, CPN (UML), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) have decided not to vote for him.
In the 110-member Province Assembly, the Congress has 37 lawmakers, Maoist Center has 21, Unified Socialist seven and Hamro Nepali Party has two seats.
When put together, the number of lawmakers will reach 67. The required number of lawmakers to secure the vote of confidence is 56.
The process of taking the vote of confidence is starting in a while.
