Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is expanding the cabinet today.

With the finalization of the number of ministries in the power coalition, the Prime Minister prepared to expand the cabinet on Thursday afternoon.

According to sources, the swearing-in ceremony has been organized at the President's office for 4 pm on Thursday.

As per the consensus among the ruling coalition, the Nepali Congress will lead eight ministries.

Purna Bahadur Khadka, Congress vice-president will get the responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

Congress is going to send ministers under the leadership of Khadka to the government.

Likewise, Dr. Prakasharan Mahat is going to be assigned the portfolio of the Finance Ministry.

Congress will also take over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health.

However, the Congress has not yet decided who will take charge of these two ministries.

The Congress has called a meeting of the Central Working Committee for 11 am today.

The meeting is finalizing the list of new ministers.

Likewise, the portfolio of Maoist Center Vice President Narayankaji Shrestha, who is handling the responsibilities of the Ministry of Physical, Infrastructure and Transport, will be reshuffled.

Sources have claimed to Nepalkhabar that Shrestha is about to be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The leadership of the Physical Ministry, which is being held by Shrestha, has been prepared to be given to Prakash Jwala of CPN (Unified Socialists).

Beduram Bhusal is being appointed as the Minister of Education, Science and Technology.

The Ministry of Energy has fallen to the Maoist Center.

Sources informed that the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), which is going to participate in the government with 2 ministries, is likely to get the urban development Ministry.
