Nepali Congress has decided to field Govinda Bhattarai in the by-elections to be held at Tanahun-1.
According to Central Working Committee (CWC) Member Arjun Narasingh KC, a meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) on Thursday morning took a decision to this effect.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba had directed to field Bhattarai as a candidate in Tanahun-1.
Ninth President of Nepal Student Union (NSU), the student wing of the NC, Bhattarai had been elected to the House of Representatives from Deuba panel.
The by-elections are being held in Tanahun-1, Bara-2 and Chitwan-2.
