Earlier in the day, he announced that he had quit Nepali Congress.
Wagle is preparing to contest the by-election in Tanahun 1 representing RSP.
RSP has decided to give him the ticket for the Tanahun 1 by-election to be held on April 27.
It is learnt that he filled out a digital form and submitted the application for the party membership. Shortly after the application was submitted, he was granted membership by the RSP, sources have said.
Wagle said that he had to leave the party due to “the abusive behavior” of President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzu Rana Deuba.
He wanted to be a candidate in the last November 20 general elections. He was not happy with the NC leadership after being denied him a ticket.
