Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha has said that the present government's priority would be to end all forms of exploitation and oppression and build a society based on social justice.

In his comments following the signing of a five-point agreement between the government and the protesting usury victims on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha stated that the problem of loan sharking is a matter of common concern and expressed the government's commitment to solve it in every way possible.

He also assured that the agreement reached between the two sides will be implemented. The Deputy Prime Minister said the government plans to provide loans easily to the people in case of need along with solving the problem of usury.

It may be noted that the usury victims have been protesting demanding that loans should be arranged at a concessional rate, illegal money lenders be punished, law should be made against usury, and the victims arrested over false cases should be released.
