A central work execution committee (CWEC) meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) is taking place today (Sunday).
The meeting will take place at the central party office in Sanepa at 10 am today, informed party chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.
The office bearers and members of the CWEC will dwell on and finalize the candidate to be held fielded in Bara Constituency 2.
A CWEC meeting held on March 30 endorsed the decision taken by the Central Working Committee (CWC) to field Govinda Bhattarai in Tanahu 1 and Jit Narayan Shrestha in Chitwan 2.
Tanahun 1 lay vacant after Ram Chandra Poudel was elected as the President of Nepal, Chitwan 2 lay vacant after Rabi Lamichhane lost his post as the lawmaker over his citizenship issue and Bara 2 lay vacant after Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav became the Vice President.
The by elections are scheduled to be held on April 27.
