Draft of HoR regulation passed

The draft of the House of Representatives (HoR) regulation has been passed along with amendments.

In the HoR meeting on Sunday, the regulation draft committee member Ramesh Lekhak presented the HoR regulation draft committee report, 2079 on behalf of committee chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, seeking passage of the draft.

The proposal was passed by the majority of the lawmakers.

Earlier, clause-wise discussion was held on the regulation draft.

During the discussion, Chairman KC and member Lekhak responded to the queries raised by the members.

Lekhak informed that some amendments made by the committee members were addressed in the draft.

In the HoR meeting, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, presented the fourth annual report (2078/79) of the National Inclusion Commission on behalf of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Similarly, Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out the letter received from the President's office on formation of Council of Ministers.

In the beginning of the meeting, Speaker Ghimire welcomed Manju Sharma Ansari, a lawmaker elected under the proportional system by the Janata Samajbadi Party.

Sharma had taken the oath on Sunday itself. The HoR will meet next on April 6.
