Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ramesh Rijal, has said cooperation from private sector was essential to solve the problems relating to national economy.

Minister Rijal said it during a meeting with the office bearers of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) on Monday.

"I stand with private sector. I commit to address the problems facing private sectors," he vowed, adding that private sectors should be encouraged to make the country prosperous.

On the occasion CNI Chairman Bishnu Kumar Agrawal urged Minister Rijal to boost the industrialists' morale.

The industrialists' morale was down with lack of investment worthy capital, high interest rate, and contraction on demand, he said, expressing worry that contribution of productive industry was declining to GDP.

The CNI further stressed that only industrialization could help achieve sustainable development and create adequate employment. The industries that help to reduce imports must be prioritized, it argued.
