UML ministers resign from Madhesh Province govt

CPN (UML) pulled out of the Madhesh Province government. UML ministers who were participating in the government have tendered resignations to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav from their posts today.

There are four ministers and one state minister in the Madhes Province.

“Four ministers and one state minister from UML have tendered their resignations,” said UML Madhesh Province Parliamentary Party leader and outgoing Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Saroj Kumar Yadav.

Even though UML pulled out of the central government on February 27, they were still in the Madhesh government.

Chief Minister Yadav wanted to quit the UML ministers after alliance broke up at the central level.

UML ministers Saroj Kumar Yadav (Physical Infrastructure Development), Mohammad Jaiyad Alam (Women, Children, Youth and Sports), Shatrughana Prasad Singh (Home and Communications), Raj Kumar Lekhi (law minster) and Keshav Raya (Minister of State for Home and Communications) have tendered their resignations.
