Man who tried to self-immolate in front of parliament building rescued

A person attempted to self-immolate in front of the federal parliament building in New Baneshwar on Friday in Kathmandu.

The person who tried to set a fire to himself was immediately rescued by the police.

Kathmandu Police Range Chief SSP Dan Bahadur Karki informed that a young man who attempted self-immolation by dousing himself in petrol has been rescued.

According to Karki, the identity of the young man who attempted self-immolation has not been revealed.

Karki further said that he tried to commit self-immolation due to family stress.
