Jabbor Kayumov is joining Ncell Axiata Ltd as a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Kayumov will replace incumbent CEO Andy Chong who will move to the head office.
"The current CEO Andy is moving to the head office of Axiata. Jabbor Kayumov is coming to his place", an Ncell official told Nepalkhabar.
Andy was appointed as the CEO and MD of Ncell on November 1, 2019. He joined Axiata Group in 2008.
He held the position of SVP till 2014 and worked as the marketing and operations head of the group.
Joined as Interim Chief Commercial Officer of Ncell in 2016, he worked as a consultant for Axiata Digital in 2017. In January 2018, he returned to Ncell as Chief Commercial Officer. He became acting CEO of Ncell in 2019.
He has more than 30 years of experience in management and operations in various industries such as telecommunications, IT/technology and electronics.
As a CEO, he has worked in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
Newcomer Jabbor also has 15 years of senior management experience in the telecom sector. He has been the CEO of many telecommunication organizations including Telia (TeliaSonera), Vimpelcom, Vian.
