Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Sah has announced of not picking up the garbage of the main administrative arena of the country, Singha Durbar.

Mayor Shah made this announcement saying the federal government and its agencies have not cooperated in managing the valley's garbage in Nuwakot and Dhading.

Soon after Sah was elected the mayor, the local party workers had obstructed the work of dumping garbage in Bancharedanda in Dhading and Sisdol in Nuwakot.

This time too, the disruption has started. Balen, who was seeking help from the federal government, is enraged when he is left alone.

Of late, Balen is not getting assistance from the federal government to remove the squatters who are living illegally on the Bagmati banks of Thapathali and Tinkune.

In such a situation, he has announced through social media that he will not pick up the waste from SinghaDarbar which is being collected by the local government.

Balen, in his official social media writes, "From today, the dirt of the Singha Durbar will not be removed", he said, "Actual cleaning of the country requires its leaders to be dumped in Sisdol."
