The ruling alliance has proposed opposition party leader KP Sharma Oli to pass the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Justice Bill (TRC) through a fast track.
On Saturday afternoon, there was a discussion between the leaders of the top three parties in the office of Speaker Devraj Ghimire at Singha Durbar.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba asked UML President KP Sharma Oli, who participated in the discussion, to pass the TRC bill through a fast track.
However, Oli rejected the proposal right away floated by Prachanda and Deuba, stating that the bill should be taken to the parliamentary committee for endorsement.
Talking to the media following the discussion with the three top leaders including the speaker, Prime Minister Prachanda said that there was an agreement to resolve the issue by April 11.
"The leaders in the meeting underscored the need to finalize bills related to TRC and Constitutional Council at the earliest. We agreed in principle to reach a consensus. But there is a technical part," Prime Minister Prachanda said," The leaders who have worked in this field will sit down and conclude it by April 11."
Prime Minister Prachanda also said that he has urged Oli to finish it through the fast track.
