Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a central committee meeting today to decide on the audio scandalof its MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha.

The meeting was held at 2 pm at the central office of the party in Kathmandu, Mukul Dhakal informed.

Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held in Chitwan on Friday.

"But since it does not seem to be effective, it has been decided to hold the meeting physically in Kathmandu", Dr. Dhakal told Nepal Khabar on Wednesday morning, "We have called the chairman and central members to Kathmandu for the same."

"After the meeting, we will hold a press conference and announce the decision", spokesperson Dr. Dhakal said.

Earlier on Tuesday night, a leader close to RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane claimed to NepalKhabar that he is preparing to send a letter to the Parliament Secretariat to expel Dhaka Kumar from the party and even remove him from Parliament so that he will not be an ordinary member of the meeting.

According to him, Speaker Lamichhane has become very angry saying that the Dhaka tape case is an attempt to affect the Chitwan election.

Last Sunday, the audio of Dhaka demanding 20 million rupees from medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai was released.

In which he claimed that Dhaka was going to make him a minister, but for that, a person close to chairmanLamichhane asked him to pay 20-25 million rupees.

After that, a meeting of the central committee of RSP is going to be held to decide on MP Shrestha.
