Election is being held today to select a new leadership of the Nepal Teachers Association, a well-wisher of Nepali Congress.
Gokarna Bahadur Baniya and Som Nath Giri, with their respective panels, are vying for the post of president.
Baniya is close to the establishment of the Nepali Congress while Giri is from the non-establishment side.
Assistant Polling Officer Nabin Dhami informed that the election committee is underway since 9 am.
The total number of voters is 621. Voting is taking place at Nawadurga Party Venue in Sukedhara. Four polling booths have been set up for voting.
