Economist Dr. Biswo Poudel has been appointed as the Chief Economic Advisor to Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat.
Former Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission, Poudel has been appointed at the Chief Economic Advisor at the Finance Ministry.
He had filed his candidacy in the parliamentary elections from Chitwan-1 but he had lost the elections.
Poudel who claims to have made a tremendous contribution to ongoing fiscal year, has been elected as the Chief Finance Advisor at a time when the Finance Ministry is gearing up for upcoming fiscal budget.
Similarly, Dr Posh Raj Pandey and Dr Gunakar Bhatta – have also been appointed as advisors to Finance Minister Mahat today.
