Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has alleged that the top leaders of the three major parties are trying to suppress the fake refugee case.

On Saturday (today), while addressing the workers of RSP in Suryavinayayak Municipality of Bhaktapur, Chairman Lamichhane, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, accused the top leaders of three major parties of trying to sabotage the investigation of the fake refugee case.

Chairman Lamichhane said in his meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday that he warned the fourth party RSP not to stay silent if the big three leaders try to solve the case of fake refugees.

"I met the Prime Minister yesterday and told him to join hands strongly and proceed with the investigation in the case of corruption including the same," he said.

During his speech, Lamichhane also said that he is ready to publicly thank the Prime Minister if the culprits of the big corruption scandal can be prosecuted.

However, he also complained that the Congress, UML and the Maoist Center were trying to 'bypass' the RSP as the fourth party.

Twelve people, including former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, have been arrested so far on charges of defrauding Nepali citizens of crores of rupees by making them fake Bhutanese refugees. The police is also searching for former Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.

He has been absconding since the 20th of Baisakh after the arrest warrant was issued
