Nepal’s cabinet approves air deal with US and Switzerland

A proposal for an air agreement with the United States (US) and Switzerland has been approved.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held recently approved the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Jagannath Niraula, the spokesperson of the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN), informed Nepalkhabar that the cabinet has approved the air deal with the US and Switzerland.

"A cabinet meeting has approved the proposal on an air agreement with the US and Switzerland," Niraula said.

Earlier, the director general of the CAAN, Pradeep Adhikari, had proposed a direct air flight agreement with the US and Switzerland at an event held at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

A few days ago, the American official had come to Nepal to take stock of the Nepal’s air safety and discussed direct air flights with government officials of Nepal.
