Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who was absconding since 11 days ago, has been arrested from Budhanilkantha.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police nabbed Rayamajhi from the Budhanilkantha-based house belonging to a cadre from Arghakhanchi.

"Rayamajhi was found to have been given shelter by a resident of Arghakhanchi, the home district of Rayamajhi, and was arrested while hiding in the house," a high-ranking police source told Nepalkhabar.

After the arrest warrant was issued on May 3, Rayamajhi fled saying that he would cooperate with the investigation.

The police had issued circulars to units across the country to arrest him. A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police was also mobilized on the suspicion that Rayamajhi fled to India.

A few days ago Rayamajhi had sent a letter to the Parliament saying that he was sick only. After that, the police intensified their search for him.

The police had been tracking Rayamajhi since Saturday while also looking for the person who took Rayamajhi's letter to Parliament.
