A 16-year-old Chinese girl has successfully climbed Mt Everest, the highest peak of the world.

This spring, 16-year-old Chinese girl Shui Cho Yuan successfully climbed Everest from the southern face at 5:42 am on May 17.

Information about this was shared at a press conference organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Shui Cho Yuan succeeded her father Shui Chiang Lei who climbed Mt Everest in 2007 from the north face.

Even though she faced challenges due to inclement weather at the beginning of the climb, it was favorable on the last day, she shared.

She shared to have found exactly what she had heard about the effects of climate change on Mt Everest.

She further said that she brought back all the used items while returning from the climb.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Everest climb, with the highest number of climbers taking permission to scale it.

This year's climb started on Saturday.
