Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee passes internal procedure

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Parliamentary Committee has passed its internal procedure.

A meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives held on Thursday endorsed the internal procedure.

Following discussions with the parliamentarians about the internal procedure in the Committee, the internal procedure was unanimously passed by the committee meeting.

The meeting presided over by Mangal Prasad Gupta, the senior member of the committee, announced that the procedure was passed unanimously.

Gupta further said that the internal procedure of the committee presented in Thursday's meeting were passed with amendments.

The internal procedure has a provision that members of the committee who remain absent for five consecutive meetings without notice can be expelled from the committee.

After senior member Sher Bahadur Deuba abstained from Thursday's meeting, the meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Gupta, the senior member after Deuba.
