Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has vehemently stated that he is ready to face jail-term if the billions of rupees allegedly embezzled while  managing the then Maoist fighters is proved.

He said this in response to a question raised by Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Gyan Bahadur Shahi in the parliament session held on Thursday, saying that the billions of rupees given by the state for ex-Maoist combatants were embezzled.

“The amount given to the fighters from the state has been audited and finalized”, Dahal said, 'If there is something like that, I am still ready to investigate. I am even ready to investigate the assets of all high officials since 2048 BS.

“The matter of cantoned former Maoist fighters keeps coming up again and again. The matter of corruption in the cantonment sites is a myth”, he said, 'I am ready to go to jail if I am found guilty through investigation.”
