Wagle elected President of Democratic Thought Society

Senior Journalist Kul Chandra Wagle has been unanimously elected President of the Democratic Thought Society.  The 12th General Convention and 25th Annual General Meeting of the Society elected its 36-member new central executive committee, said the Society coordinator Dr Madhusudhan Pun. 

Similarly, Ishwor Raj Laudari and Gokarna Aryal have been picked as senior vice presidents, and Krishna KC vice president.

Jiban Kumar Rai has been elected vice president (Koshi Province), Ram Narayan Dev (Madhes Province), Bharat Prasad Dawadi (Bagmati Province), Jibalal Kafle (Gandaki Province), Shankar Diwas Majgaiya (Lumbini Province), Dhurba Bahadur Malla (Karnali Province) and Surendra Bahadur Chand (Sudurpaschim Province). Anar Basnet and Menaka Rajbhandari Shrestha were chosen as vice presidents (women).

Dr Basudev Bhandari was elected general secretary, Pushpa Man Shrestha treasurer, CV Malla deputy general secretary and Prof Dr Akkal Dev Mishra secretary.
