Member of Parliament Manju Khand, who went out of contact since former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand was arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees, has been spotted in Parliament.

She participated in the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on Friday when President Ram Chandra Paudel was reading out the policies and programs of the government.

Manju, who is also a central working committee (CWC) member of the Nepali Congress, was incommunicado after former Home Minister Khand was arrested on May 10.

She went out of contact even without meeting her husband Bal Krishna, who was detained in the District Police Range Kathmandu.

Some media outlets have reported her to have sneaked into Australia via India.

An audio was released in which he claimed to have received 60 million rupees from a middleman in the case of fake refugees.

Manju, who disappeared after the police started investigating the audio, reached the parliament today.

The police have proceeded with the investigation so as not to file a case against some high-ranking officials involved in the case of fake refugees including Manju.

She was spotted in the parliament after receiving the police notice that she would not be prosecuted.
