CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to pull out of the Madhes Province government. The Maoist Center took a decision to this effect after Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav decided to expand the cabinet.

Maoist Center Parliamentary Party (PP) leader of Madhes Province Bharat Prasad Yadav said his party decided to quit the government after the JSP expanded the government through the backdoor.

“We have decided to quit the government today itself,” said Yadav, “JSP-led government has decided to expand the government through backdoor.”

Chief Minister Yadav on Tuesday expanded the government including Nepali Congress and CPN (Unified Socialist).

There was no agreement between the JSP and Maoist Center after the latter laid claim for two ministries.

Chief Minister Yadav has entrusted NC lawmaker Krisha Prasad Yadav with the responsibility of Physical Infrastructure and Development and Birendra Kumar Singh with the Ministry of Health Ministry.

Similarly, Unified Socialist lawmaker Govinda Prasad Neupane has been entrusted with the responsibility with the ministry without portfolio.
