Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that there is a strong possibility of getting a new 'air route' during his upcoming visit to India.

Prime Minister Prachanda is visiting India from May 31.

During the meeting of the House of Representatives on Saturday, Prime Minister Dahal said that during his visit to India, there will be a discussion on 'trade transit' while answering the questions raised on the policies and programs of the next fiscal year.

Speaking on the occasion, Prachanda informed that the 1950 treaty with India and the opening of a chemical fertilizer factory in Nepal will be discussed.

To be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, secretaries and high-level officials of the Nepal government, Prime Minister Prachanda will call on President and Vice-President and will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Modi at Hyderabad House on June 1 to discuss the diverse areas of the bilateral partnership between India and Nepal.

The talks will be followed by a joint press meeting by the two Prime Ministers. The Prime Minister of India will host a luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister of Nepal and his delegation.

The Prime Minister will address Nepal-India Business Summit in New Delhi jointly organized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and interact with business leaders of both countries. The Prime Minister will also interact with the Nepali community in India over a welcome reception hosted by the Ambassador of Nepal to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Ujjain and Indore, Madhya Pradesh before returning to Kathmandu on 3 June 2023.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the age-old, multifaceted, and cordial relations between Nepal and India.
