The budget speech for the upcoming fiscal year 2023/24 has started in the Federal Parliament.
Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is delivering the budget speech in the joint house of the Federal Parliament.
There is a constitutional provision that the federal government should make public the budget on Jestha 15 (Nepali month) (May 29).
According to which, the budget prepared by the Ministry of Finance is being made public today.
The implementation of the budget will start from July 17.
However, some tax rates will be implemented from tomorrow itself.
