Govt not to procure vehicles in next fiscal year

The government has said it will not procure any new vehicles in the upcoming fiscal year.

Unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said that a decision has been taken not to purchase any new vehicles and furniture in the next fiscal year.

Similarly, new posts for public bodies will not be created.

The system of giving cash instead of vehicle to those who reserve the transport facility will be started.
