During Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's four-day official visit to India, cargo train service has started in Nepal.
The Prime Ministers of the two countries jointly inaugurated the cargo train service operating from India to Biratnagar Custom Yard on Thursday by pressing a button from Delhi.
The cargo train has now left Bathnaha in India for Biratnagar Custom yard.
The the employees have decorated the Customs Yard at Biratnagar while the locals have gathered to see the arrival of the cargo train.
Traders in Biratnagar are preparing to welcome this train with a special program.
A cargo train bound for Biratnagar is decorated with garlands. The train has reached Biratnagar Integrated Check Point (ICP) carrying industrial raw materials.
The train is reaching Biratnagar in 15 minutes. The train will bring raw materials for the steel industry. Aarti Strips, Swastik Rolling, Hulas Wire and Premier Steel raw materials have been brought.
Earlier, a cargo train was piloted from Bathnaha rail-way station in India to Kastam yard at Budhanagar in Biratnagar.
