Nepal and India sign 7 agreements during PM Dahal's India visit

A total of seven agreements have been signed between Nepal and India.

The seven agreements were signed on Thursday in the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, during Prime Minister Dahal’s India visit.

Agreements signed:
1. Treaty of Transit between Nepal and India
2. MOU for the development of the Integrated Check Post at Dodhara-Chandani
3. MOU on Cooperation in the Field of Petroleum Infrastructure.
4. MOU between the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) of Nepal and Sushma
Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) of India
5. MOU for the Development of Phukot-Karnali 480 MW Hydro-electricity
Project
6. Project Development Agreement (PDA) of Lower Arun 669 MW Hydroelectricity Project
7. MOU between National Clearing House Limited Nepal (NCHL) and National
Payment Company India Limited (NPCIL) for cross-border payments
