Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a four-day official visit to India, has reached the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
Prime Minister Prachanda, along with his team, who flew from Delhi, has landed in Indore, the cleanest city of India.
Prachanda was received by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Upon landing in Indore, Prachanda and his team has now reached Ujjain by road. Prachanda has offered 108-kg Rudraksha (prayer beads) brought from Nepal to the Temple of Mahakal.
After welcoming Prachanda, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Chouhan clad in a Nepali dhaka topi described the friendly relationship between Nepal and India.
“Nepal and India have a rich history”, he said, “These are two nations with similar cultures, civilizations and customs.”
He said that he was happy to welcome Prime Minister Prachanda to Indore, the holy city of Goddess Ahilya and the cleanest city in India.
"The people of Madhya Pradesh are overwhelmed to welcome the Prime Minister of our friendly country Nepal", he said, "Today we have welcomed the honorable Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ as a glorious tradition of Madhya Pradesh."
Chief Minister Chouhan has also asked Prachanda to visit Baba Mahakal and take his blessings for the welfare and development of the people of Nepal. "I pray to Baba Pashupatinath that both the nations will always progress on the path of development, welfare and mutual harmony."
