Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has sent a message to China saying that he might visit northern neighbor in the last week of July or the first week of August.

Prachanda sent the message to China through a party delegation that visited China from May 19 to June 1.

The delegation led by former speaker Agni Sapkota, who is also the Maoist Center Vice Chairman, conveyed the message to China about Prime Minister Prachanda's upcoming visit.

Vice Chairman President Sapkota, who arrived in Nepal on Thursday evening wrapping up his two-week-long China visit, apprised the party of the message regarding Prachanda’s upcoming visit to northern neighbor on Friday.

"Prior to the visit, I met the Prime Minister and Party Chairman Prachanda. In the meeting, he said that there is a possibility of his visit to China either in the last week of July or the first week of August."

Besides, Sapkota said that China has also been requested to provide subsized loans under BRI project.

“Under BRI, there is a scheme of subsidized loan. It will be easier for us to develop our country economically with the subsidized loan,” Sapkota quoted Prachanda as saying during the meeting held before his China visit.

“The same thing was floated in the meeting with Chinese leaders," Sapkota said, "They took it positively.”

He also informed that China is ready to provide any kind of assistance to complete the peace process of Nepal.

Sapkota, leading a 20-member team, left for China on May 19 returned to Nepal on Thursday evening.
