Former Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba's son Jaiveer Singh Deuba and his girlfriend Shivana Shrestha have been engaged.
Jaiveer had exchanged rings with Shivana, who is also a cover singer, on May 15.
They got engaged on Friday in the presence of both of their families. According to family sources, they are planning to get married in January next year. Jaiveer and Shivana are from different backgrounds.
Jaiveer Singh is the only child of Sher Bahadur and Arzu Rana Deuba.
Shivana Shrestha is the granddaughter of former foreign secretary and former ambassador Kedar Bhakta Shrestha. She is the youngest daughter of Kedar Bhakta's son Sanjiv Bhakta Shrestha.
Alongside singing, Shivana also runs a cosmetic products business.
