Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Asim Shah has drawn the government's attention to the unused electric buses.

Speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Shah said that out of 37 electric buses brought by the government at a cost of Rs 570 million, 34 are lying idle.

He drew the government's attention to the fact that there is no necessary parking and charging station for electric buses.

The Nepal government procured 37 electric buses for around Rs. 570 million in cooperation with Sajha Yatayat. Out of which three have been put into operation while 34 are lying idle, he said.

He further said that the current generation is lagging far behind the ancestors.

"A son is born. There is no clothing to put on. The electric bus has arrived and there is no parking lot or charging station. The electric bus is ready to ply, there is no route permit for plying,” he said, "common people are forced to travel in small cramped buses every day."

But we have put clean, comfortable electric buses on hold. I would like to draw the attention of the government to bring the vehicles into operation procured with the revenue paid by the citizens.
