Tension flared when Church Boys United were taking on FC Khumaltar in the last leg of the Martyr’s Memorial A Division League held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato on Friday.
The game was disrupted for a while due to hullabaloo created by the players of the two teams.
After the dispute, referee Prajwal Chhetri gave red cards to three officials and one bench player of Khumaltar.
But when Khumaltar's officials refused to leave the bench even after receiving a red card, the referee stopped the game citing security reasons.
The police were called to the field due to the dispute. The match started only after the police arrived.
As the first half of the game continued, the Church Boys took a 1-0 lead.
In the 13th minute of the game, Churchboys took the early lead with Sushil Shah's goal on Arik Bist's free kick.
In the 25th minute of the game, Khumtar's Messouke could not take advantage of the opportunity when he hit the penalty post.
In the 24th minute, Church Boys' goalkeeper Priso fouled Messouke in the penalty area, and the referee gave Khumaltar a chance for a penalty.
Joseph Owusu Bempah scored in first half injury time to give Church Boys a 2-0 lead again Khumaltar.
