An international flight has landed at the Pokhara International Airport for the first time today (Wednesday).
An airbus of Sichuan Airlines landed at Pokhara Airport from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in the neighboring country of China.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CIAA), the Airbus 319 of Sichuan Airlines landed at Pokhara Airport at 9:06 am.
The plane also has a Nepali delegation including National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina who has returned home from China visit.
Seven MPs including Chairman Timilsina, Chief Private Secretary of Chairman Govinda Akela Paudel and Deputy Secretary Ram Hari Thapa had gone on a week-long visit to China on June 10.
This airbus will stay at the Pokhara Airport for about two hours and return to China via Kathmandu at 11 am. The Chinese have come to Pokhara to participate in the Dragon Boat Race Festival that started in Pokhara from today.
The airport said that no information has been received about the next flight of the said ship in Pokhara.
The Pokhara International Airport was brought into operation sice January 1, 2023.
Currently, only domestic flights are operating from the Pokhara Airport.
