Ambassador Subedi presents his credentials in Tokyo

Newly appointed Nepali ambassador to Japan Dr Durga Bahadur Subedi presenting his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.

Newly appointed Ambassador of Nepal to Japan Dr Durga Bahadur Subedi presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito amidst a special ceremony held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo today.

 Welcoming Ambassador Dr Subedi, His Majesty expressed his happiness over the excellent state of relations existing between the two friendly countries and hoped that the close and cordial ties of friendship and cooperation would be further consolidated in future, according to a statement released by the Nepali Embassy in Tokyo.

 Presenting his Letters of Credence, Ambassador Dr  Subedi conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to His Majesty the Emperor Naruhito for his personal good health and happiness, and for peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Japan.

Ambassador Dr Subedi also expressed sincere gratitude to the friendly government and the people of Japan for their generous and continuous cooperation to the socio-economic development of Nepal and the Nepali people. He also expressed his determination to make sincere efforts to further strengthen mutually rewarding relations during his tenure.

Present on the occasion were Minister in Charge of Policies Related to Children, Cohesive Society and Women’s Empowerment of the Government of Japan Ogura Masanobu, senior officials of the Imperial Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and the officials from the Tokyo-based Nepali Embassy.
