Both Houses of Federal Parliament have passed the budget presented by the government for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24.
Today's meeting of the National Assembly passed the Appropriation Bill, 2080, received from the House of Representatives with a majority.
In the meeting, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat presented a proposal for the passage of the Appropriation Bill, 2080.
Prior to this, a proposal for cutting the expenses of different headings under the Appropriation Bill, 2080, was rejected by a majority of the members.
The respective ministers had responded to queries raised in course of deliberation on different topics under the Appropriation Bill, 2080 in the meeting.
The House of Representatives had passed the budget for coming fiscal year on June 28. The government had presented the budget for fiscal year 2023-24 in both Houses of the Federal Parliament on May 29.
With the passage of the budget from both Houses, the way for the implementation of the budget has been paved from July 17.
